Beastly is a 2011 romantic fantasy drama film loosely based on Alex Flinn's 2007 novel of the same name.It is a retelling of the fairytale Beauty and the Beast and is set in modern-day New York City. The film was written and directed by Daniel Barnzand stars Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer.

Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer) an arrogant and vain son of a wealthy news anchor Rob Kingsbury (Peter Krause) bullies Kendra Hilferty (Mary-Kate Olsen) who magically transforms handsome Kyle into a bald, tattooed and scarred shell. If he does not find someone who loves him by the next spring he would remain in his ugly state forever. Kyle is taken to live in a private house with their maid Zola (Lisa Gay Hamilton) and a blind tutor Will Fratalli (Neil Patrick Harris). Both are a comfort to Kyle when his father begins to neglect him.

let me start by saying this movie is absolutely hilarious!! i saw it last night at an advanced screening with my girlfriend we both loved the movie vince vaughn is extremely funny and jonah hill is great in it. overall the acting is great and the comedy/action is great..although the aliens look strange!! but the movie is nonstop hilarity from start to finish. don't worry you will love it if you like slapstick. this movie is packed full of hilarious references and lines i don't wanna ruin anything for you guys but you will be quoting this movie all summer. overall i enjoyed the movie a whole lot although im 22 years old and my girlfriend is 21, i definitely would not recommend taking kids to this movie because there are a lot of adult themes and language. but if your 16-40 you will probably love it!

the producers really scored landing Peter Gallagher as the Real Estate Developer Mr Anderson since the leads are relative unknowns. They say the first timers cut is the cheapest but we all know that delays add to the bottom line but lucky for Scott Speer the dancing and the sizzling hot locations save the show and make for one amazing ride into Miami. Music? check; Dancing? check, Ocean? check, Real life story? double check... so get ready to ENJOY your trip to Miami, it's worth the price of admission.
